Northern Pine is one of the oldest types of wood used for crafting arrows, with origins dating back to the Stone Age. Even today, Northern Pine remains a popular choice among archers due to its excellent balance of stability and weight. Known for its robustness and slightly heavier density compared to Cedar, Northern Pine can be effectively treated with stains or lacquers.

As a natural product, wooden shafts vary in their characteristics, both in appearance and internal qualities. While shaft diameters are typically consistent, variations in straightness, stiffness, and weight are common. Additionally, the spine value may vary, leading to wooden shafts being categorized and sorted with a margin of 5 lbs. To ensure uniformity, all shafts undergo manual spining, inspection for fractures, and alignment.

Northern Pine shafts are supplied in full length, typically 32 inches, although many archers may require shorter lengths. For a nominal fee of €0.10 per shaft, we offer precision cutting services to tailor the shafts to your desired length. Utilizing specialized sawing equipment, we guarantee precise and uniform cutting, ensuring each shaft is straight and consistent in length.

For enhanced shooting performance, we offer optional weight sorting services for a fee, grouping shafts within a one-gram margin. These groups typically consist of a maximum of 12 shafts, ensuring closely matched weights for improved accuracy.
